X-ray Digital Technologies 

Certify your baggage and cargo screeners using one of the world’s most popular CBT based X-ray Simulation Training & Certification system called “Safe Passage”.

Safe Passage is able to simulate most of the major x-ray machines to allow for participants to practice their x-ray image interpretation and threat identification skills in the safety and comfort of a classroom. This course meets ICAO Annex 17, Std 3.4.3 which requires Contracting States to ensure that the persons carrying out screening operations are certified according to the requirements of the national civil aviation security programme to ensure that performance standards are consistently and reliably achieved.

Course materials comply with ICAO, EC 185/2010 and EC 300/2008 regulations and are taught by certified instructors.

The course has been designed to enable screeners to:

  • Understand regulations governing screening operations
  • Develop a holistic view of the role of security screeners
  • Certify screeners to perform x-ray image interpretation through CBT -based testing that requires them to apply threat detection methodologies and image interpretation skills
  • Identify explosive materials, IEDs, prohibited, restricted and other threat items
